Superprestige #6 – Diegem – C1

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

Cyclingnews covered the Superprestige in Belgium this week that Will Dugan was in.  Dugan, however, has changed his handle to “William Dragon”, which is awesome.  Richard Fries always called Will the “Pittsfield Terrier” but this is a 100% better handle.  Watch out, the Dragon is coming.

Echappe will have two starters in the World Championship Cyclocross events in Hoogerheide Jan 31 and Feb 1, 2009.

Laura Van Gilder

Van Gilder's successful CX season

Laura Van Gilder: Laura has been sponsored by Echappe all season, and has been awesome.  Her first year in cyclocross, we didn’t know what to expect, but she came out swinging and managed to finish the year as the second ranked US Women in UCI points, 4th at National Champioships and a start spot on the World’s team.  Laura is prepping for World’s at home, an untraditional method, but it works for her which is all we can ask for.  :)

Will Dugan

Dugan Wins D1 Collegiate 2008

Will Dugan: Will is being sponsored for this month after his impressive D1 Collegiate win in Kansas City.  Will is preparing for the U23 World’s start by racing in Belgium a lot and staying at the Cycling Center.  Will is very excited for all of these opportunities, which is all we can ask for.

US CX Nationals

We wanted to say thanks to our sponsored rider Laura Van Gilder for a great season! Laura Capped off a great first year in ‘cross with a 4th place finish at nationals in very cold conditions. Thank you!

We had a great time meeting everyone. The Kansas City scene is awesome and we are really stoked to have a rep there for the city and the surrounding area.

Check out localcycling.com and let them know you want to hear more about Echappe Equipment.

Thanks again, and we’ll see you next year.
