American Classic 38 Carbon

The American Classic 38 Carbon is one of the lightest production wheels made. Using a Zipp 303 rim laced to American Classic's super light 58 hubs (called 58s because they weigh 58 grams), these wheels fly. The wheelset we have in stock is an "all around" set with 18 spokes up front and 24 in the rear.

For purchasing we can custom order any combination of spoke count using 16, 18, 20, 24, or 28 spokes for purchase. The "Pro" build is stiffer than the Sapium build, but 60g heavier. For riders over 175lbs the Pro build is recommended.

Currently only the 2008 Sapium 38 carbon tubular is available. The sapium save over 60g per wheelset. The wheel can be reserved with either Shimano or Campy freehub.
